You will need to contact your Domain Registrar (Network Solutions,, TuCows, etc.) and point your domain name to WebNetHosting DNS servers.

  • You can do this by chaning your name servers to point to:
  • Propagation will take 24-72 hours, until you can use your domain name with NetWebSolutions®. Until then you can simply use your IP Address included in your web hosting package to upload and create your web site.

When you receive your “Welcome Letter”, one of the first things you will need to do is change your password.

You can change your password by simply:

  1. Login to your domain manager by going to your ipaddress/menu and entering the username and password we provided you.
  2. Click on the “Change Password” icon
  3. Your password must be at least 8 characters long
  4. When changing your password to the control panel, it will not change the password to your MySQL, or FrontPage extensions.
  5. If you forget your FrontPage extension passwords, you can uninstall and reinstall the extensions to reset the password.

Replace the Under Construction Page

This can simply be done by changing your home page name to index.html not index.htm

Note: If you are using Microsoft or FrontPage, you do not need to choose the www folder, but for any other FTP software, you will need to choose the www folder for the file’s destination. Once you correctly upload your home page and overwrite the Under Construction Page, your home page will replace the Under Construction Page.

If your page has one of the following filenames, you can delete the existing index.html and your page will automatically show up.

- index.htm
- welcome.html
- welcome.cgi
- index.html
- index.shtml
- index.cgi
- index.php
- index.phtml
- default.htm

Simply delete the index.html file and anything in the above list will automatically come up.

If you see the “forbidden” error when viewing your web site, this is because you have deleted the index.html page in your www folder and did not replace it with one of the following extensions above. Simply go to your control panel and click on the www folder and create an index.html page. This will fix the “forbidden” error.
